An Easy Way For Credit Card Debt ManagementHow might you go about credit card debt management? For many people, credit card debt management will be the simple act of transferring an outstanding balance from one provider to another to take advantage of a special deal. In the UK, these people have been unflatteringly dubbed 'rate tarts' because of their lack of loyalty and speed at switching between providers. Many of these deals will involve some sort of discount in interest rate or zero rate for the first six, nine or very occassionally, twelve months. Just imagine, if you are paying a minimum monthly payment of say 500, having that cut to zero (for six months) will be a very helpful boost to your stretched finances. There always seem to be offers such as these in the market. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear that discounts are now a credit card company's main marketing weapon. So many cards are now available in the market that they have almost commoditised. True, this isn't exactly a highly complex credit card debt management technique, but it is effective and done by many millions of people each year. With such an abundance of offers, it is available to most borrowers. The scale of credit card debts means that for many, this is the only way for them to survive. Surveys in the UK have shown that there is a small percentage of credit card borrowers who owe the equivalent of FIVE (yes 5!!) years annual salary on cards. The interest charges for these people must be truly shocking and I can only presume that they have a very stressful life. How they afford things like food and rent must be a mystery ... I guess it goes onto the card. Of course, if you are already borrowing way above what seems possible, this strategy probably will not work.
