About me...

For about three years I worked as a mortgage consultant in a number of offices of estate agents in the UK. In that time I have helped hundreds of people to make mortgage applications. You name it, I have seen it.

I have helped first-time buyers who can't budget, people with low incomes, no deposit, bad credit, bankruptcy, overwhelming debts and more besides.

I'm also sorry to say that I have some personal debt management experience too. I invested in a business with a former work colleague. He took most of the capital and ran, leaving the other partner and I with a failing business, staff and bills to pay and no money. It very nearly wiped me out. I used my savings, investments, disposable income and credit cards to the limit!

It took me just over two years to get out of that 'hole' and I had to follow much of the advice I would have given to others.
